COUNCIL WATCH
In just under 2 years we will have the opportunity to vote for councillors in our local elections. We've been doing it for years without any real understanding of exactly who we are voting for! They may represent the political party of our choice but do they really represent WE THE PEOPLE?
Cheshire East Council currently have 23 Committees that meet regularly to discuss, debate and decide on issues that affect YOU!
Anyone can attend these meetings, take notes, ask questions, but unfortunately not many people have the time, nor the inclination!
JOIN OUR TEAM OF COUNCIL WATCHERS TODAY!
We are looking for volunteers who are interested in becoming more actively involved in these Committee meetings (as many or as few as you like!). You can attend in person or listen to live audio and webcast feeds, take notes and get a gist of what is being discussed and decided. Highlights and any areas of concern can then be reported via the website and social media groups, prior to the minutes of the meeting being uploaded.
We have the skills, we have the motivation so let's apply the pressure and get AHEAD OF THE GAME!
